"It’s all about the journey, the chance to share in the thrill of a Giants run with his family and like-minded fans"
John and his family are not alone. Many have flocked to the outskirts of Indianapolis in their RVs for the weekend -- some with tickets and some without -- hoping to partake in the excitement of game day. All RV parks are full to capacity as you would imagine. Some fans will have to watch the game on TV like everyone else...perhaps in their RV. Others will join the massive tailgate parties near the stadium hoping to score some tickets.
This Patriot fan (pictured above) drove all night from New Hampshire with his daughter. But he has two tickets that he purchased for $6000.
Tailgating ain't cheap either. The RV park John is staying in is about 8 miles from the stadium, but guests of the RV park can pay $150 on game day to park at a church that’s just one mile away from Lucas Oil Stadium.
Like John, renting an RV and living on the road for a week with his family and friends was not just the cheaper option, but the more appealing and rewarding one. If you're reading this blog then you know why that is. It is, in fact, about the journey. Isn't it?
Even if John and his sons fail to score tickets to the game, I'm sure it will still be an unforgettable life long memory.
I hope you enjoy Super Bowl Sunday with your family and friends!
