Follow up: Our stay at the Barr Lake RV Camp wasn't at the top of our list. But there were few other options this close to Denver. They stuck us in beteween a couple of long-term residents (like Eddie on our left). So it kind of felt like we were parked in someone's backyard. The power, water and sewer dump worked fine though. As it turns out, we didn't spend much time there during the day. Another down side of staying here was the train whistle that would blow repeatedly through the night. This made it difficult to get a decent night sleep. Bottom line is that we wouldn't stay there again. We cut our stay short a day and headed north into Wyoming. -Tito
Watch out, who knows what might happen if Eddie's sh_ter gets full; DOHH!! Sounds like a place that makes you not want to venture outside much. Oh well, all part of the adventure.
ReplyDeleteWe are all packed with the toad hooked up, just waiting for morning and then we roll. See ya down the road. -D
Yup. We'll make sure to be downwind from Cuz Eddie at dumpin time. Oh well, it'll do for a couple of nights. I am, however, alone in that thought. Mrs T may need more wine to cope. I just may have to borrow some Boones Farm from Eddie. -T
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is "WOW" I think it's the clothes shopping at Walmart earlier in the trip that caused this!

Haven't thought of Barr Lake as White Trash central, but then remembered it's in Brighton, CO.
ReplyDeleteSo, yeah, that's Roseanne BARR land.
Clinging to guns & religion!!
