How Low Will Gas Prices Go? How about below $3.

By on Tuesday, October 14, 2008

It's nice to see prices at the pump continue to drop. $3.29 is the lowest I've seen so far in the Poulsbo/Silverdale area. It's a buck lower than what I payed on our July road trip.

I keep saying it, but I'm looking for gas to drop below three bucks. I think it will get there soon.

Update: After a little research, I found out that there are nearby gas stations already selling gas for under $3 per gallon. I found a Texaco station just outside of Poulsbo that is selling gas for $2.99 per gallon and one in Belfair selling at $2.96.

Sweeet! So I guess we're there. Now I have to ask again..."How low will it go?".

If you'd like to check for the lowest gas prices in your area, go to Motor Trend's Gas Prices Website and click on your state. Or go to GasBuddy.com for a map of gas stations near you.

  1. Perfect timing for our Oregon trip? Oil fell below $70 a barrel today so sub $3 gas is on the way everywhere soon. WOO HOO!!

  2. Yeah. That's good stuff. A month ago when I was saying gas would go below $3, I wasn't very optimistic. But here we are. We're there. Now I'll start shooting for $2.50 per gallon.
