Otherwise I'll be sending short updates from the road.The Latest: We arrived in Weed and are staying at the Friendly RV Park (yup that's the name) near the base of Mt Shasta. It's not bad and the guy was yes, "friendly". We had dinner in a nearby restaurant and returned back to the RV. The kids watched a movie. I can sum up Oregon in three words....Wet, Windy and Cold.
Tomorrow we've decided to try and go further than originally planned. We've got three options for a destination tomorrow depending upon how much driving I feel like doing. So far we've not followed any of our original plans and are reinventing the trip thus far. Our original plan was to stay in Santa Nella (near Los Banos), but we may continue on to another place about 120 miles further. If I feel like driving more...then we can make it to Bakersfield where there are a few Walmart stores to stay at. Either way, we'll arrive in Las Vegas some time Sunday afternoon.
Battery issues We ran our house battery down kind of low last night at Walmart. I ran the gas heater during the night, and in the morning it had very little juice left. I filled up the water level in the batter and am hoping it charges up nicely tonight.
It's Snowing! By the way, as I'm writing this it's snowing outside with about 1/2 inch so far on the ground. I just stepped outside, slipped on the step and fell on my ass. Maybe if it's clear in the morning, we'll have a nice view of Mt Shasta. We may have to wait a little while in the morning for it to warm up. Where the hell is the Sun! We've gotta get gas and propane anyway before we get back on I-5. Let the adventures continue! :)
