Adding comfort without adding bulk

By on Tuesday, March 23, 2010

We have two teenage kids that take turns sleeping in the overhead bunk. Whoever doesn't get the bunk must sleep in the less comfortable dinette bed. Though the dinette cushions provide some support, complaints have been voiced by both kids.

While making preparations for an upcoming trip, I was looking for a way to add more comfort to the dinette sleeping area without adding more cushions that will have to be stored when not in use. I found this twin size camping air mattress that fit the converted dinette bed perfectly...and it only set me back $15. I Just inflate the mattress at bed time and deflate it in the morning. It folds up nicely into a small bag that I can store under the seat.

My son, pictured here, has tested and approved the enhancement. Hopefully there won't be anymore fighting over the overhead bunk. But....never say never.
